Singapore's $300 Million 'Superschool!' 

• A $300 million 'super' campus for kids from kindergarten up to secondary school has officially opened in Singapore, setting the standard for what future schools will look like.
   
  Claiming to be among the world’s “most advanced school ever built,” Stamford American International School boasts individual iPads for each kindergarten student, top quality food provided by celebrity chefs in their canteen, and even a golfing excellence center equipped with computer swing analysis and putting greens.
   
  The sprawling, futuristic education facility at Upper Serangoon caters to children from ages 2 to 15.
   
  Stamford is the first school in Singapore to offer students both the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and the American Advanced Placement (AP) Diploma.
   
  Aiming to prepare students to enter the world’s prestigious universities, languages such as Mandarin and Spanish will be taught on a daily basis for students as young as 2 years old. Lessons are beamed in from around the world in Singapore’s first interactive learning environment. The school will also be equipped with a 21st century media resource centre.
